About this site

UXmas is a digital advent calendar for user experience designers.

At midnight (UTC) each day throughout December in the lead-up to Christmas, a delightful little treat is gifted to the UX community. It could be an article, a video, a sketch, or something else - just like a real advent calendar, you never know what you’re going to get!

UXmas is a joint effort from the teams at UX Mastery & Thirst Studios. We created the site partly as a way of giving back to the UX community during the festive season. But mostly we just thought the pun was too good to pass up.

Of course, the site would be nothing without the contributions from our amazing authors, who were obliging enough to submit their creative and thought-provoking content to us in an impossibly short timeframe. For this we are extremely grateful.

We hope you enjoy the wisdom that they’ve chosen to impart during this festive season, and that you have a safe and merry UXmas!

Hat tips.

Thanks to our good friend Mark Gilliland of VS Creative, who helped us design the UXmas logo.

A sombrero-sized hat tip to the guys behind 24 ways, whose excellent annual online web-development advent calendar was a big inspiration. Keep up the great work!

Lastly, huge thanks to the super-talented boys at Supereight Studio who provided the illustrations that we used in the first UXmas in 2012.
